The Savile Row Bespoke Academy’s summer course offers an intensive, seven-week program focused exclusively on men’s bespoke pattern drafting, fitting - diagnosis and remedies, as well as creating master patterns to achieve the perfect fit. This course is ideal for those who aspires to specialise in the technical aspects of Pattern Drafting, cutting and fitting,

By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the skills required to excel in the bespoke tailoring industry.

You will be able to:

• Take precise measurements.

• Draft three-piece suits in various styles.

• Identify and correct fitting issues for various body figurations.

• Use hand-sewing techniques essential to prepare first fittings.

• Different pattern lays for the economical use of cloth.

• Create and refine master patterns tailored to individual figurations.

There is a test at the end of this course. Successful students will be awarded a certificate.

Course Delivery

SRBA’s training programme is delivered in customised training facilities on the premises of Maurice Sedwell. Ltd, 9-10 Savile Row, London. The instructors are all experienced bespoke tailors who have trained and worked under the Academy’s Principal, Andrew Ramroop OBE.

SRBA will only admit a small number of students for each course to enable each trainee to receive a high degree of individual coaching from their instructor.

Cost

The cost of this full-time course is £7,600 and includes 20% VAT, all required materials and equipment.

This course does not include garment construction from start to completion. The focus is on technical pattern cutting and fitting, not sewing finished garments.
